Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a 3rd trailer for its Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game on Monday. The video previews the new characters, party and equipment customization, and battle. Players can make a party from among the more than 300 available “player characters” and NPCs.
The video also previews the game’s theme song “Windia” by Luna Haruna.
The video also shows a new character named Genesis, who, like Kirito, is called the “black knight.” He is voiced by Kazuyuki Okitsu. The video teases, “Will the meeting of the black knights destroy the world or save the world?”
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on October 27 in Japan, and this fall in North America and Europe The game will feature Japanese voices with English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish text.
Bandai Namco also announced Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag for iOS and Android devices
The free-to-play smartphone game is a side-scroll-type action RPG featuring the storyline of the TV series, as well as an original story. Of course, boss characters from the original work and anime will also show up. It will feature easy tap and flick controls, and a heavy battle system that utilizes standard attacks, parrying, switching, guarding, jumping, plus more. Character actions will be different based on their equipment and traits. You can even accept quests from other players.
